Due to the varied landscapes between Werratal, Hohem Meißner and Kaufunger Wald, the Geo-Nature Park is one of only 30 hotspots of biodiversity in Germany.
The highest mountain is the Hohe Meißner, on which according to legend Ms.
Holle lives.
